Trying to Scoot

That's right, we are moving right along...well, kinda. Rachel will pull her knees up under her belly, but just can't get the arms going at the same time! When she tries to push forward she ends up going backwards because her arms are "working against her." But at least she is trying! My lazy baby is becoming more and more active!

Napping In The Driveway

That's right. Rachel too a nap in the driveway on Saturday afternoon. While we were out in the yard working on the sprinkler system, she laid down on the drive and took a nap. When she woke up she played a bit too!

Gma Oakley's Birthday Lunch

Thursday before we went to the zoo we met Gma Oakley for lunch to "celebrate" her birthday! We ate at Red Robin!

A Hot Trip To the Zoo

We went to the zoo this afternoon with Aunt Jenn, Brennan, Aunt Krista, and Kate. It was very hot! I'm not so sure Momma is ready for the summer! :) Rachel stayed in her stroller the whole time and was awake MOST of the trip!

More Rolling Over

Since Rachel now knows she can roll over all the time...anywhere she may be. I came into the living room on Monday and this is what I saw...I guess I am going to have to start strapping her in!

Rachel Tries Baby Food

We tried baby food for the first time last night. She seemed to be "okay" with it, at times it was like she didn't really know what to do. We'll keep trying I guess! :)

Cousin Brennan turned 1 today! His birthday party was a blast! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRENNAN!

Rachel and "Uncle" Tim

She absolutely loves Tim. She is all smiles when he is around! She loves when he comes over to visit! (For those of you who don't know Tim...he is a friend of Momma and Daddy's)

Rolling Over Both Ways!!

Rachel can now roll over both ways! She rolled from her back to her belly for the first time last night. Momma and Daddy were actually at a movie when it happened. (Gma Oakley was keeping her) But she did it for us this morning! The video is the one I took this morning, because the one last night is kinda long. Yea Rachel!

More Shoppin'

Aunt Jennifer, Cousin Brennan, Momma, and Rachel went to the mall on Wednesday afternoon. At first Brennan was in the stroller while Aunt Jennifer carried Rachel in the sling. Then Brennan decided he wanted Rachel to ride in the stroller with him! Cousin Brennan is so sweet!

Oh what fun to go to the mall now! :)

2 Gmas in One Day?!!!

We went to watch Uncle Josh play baseball for the first time this season. It was pretty chilly, but fun to sit with Gma Oakley! After the game we went over to Gma and Gpa Skiles'. They live pretty close to the ball park. Seeing both Gmas in one day doesn't happen very often!

Okay, so the bow was a little bit of a hindrance in this picture,but Momma still likes it!

Texas Roadhouse in Wichita!

Wednesday night he got off work late so we weren't able to get to church on time, which also meant we had no supper! (We usually eat at the church building Wednesday nights) We decided to eat a late supper at Texas Roadhouse! Rachel did very well. She enjoyed some very mashed up french fries from Daddy! Yum yum!

" Come on. Give me something to eat!"

"Yeah, one of those fries will do."
"Much better."

Every day Rachel sits in her bumbo to strengthen her back to try to help her get the idea of sitting on her own. Apparently this day she was not enjoying the exercise. Notice the tray is completely off the chair. It was secured with toys on it when Momma set her in the chair. She kicked they tray off an then tried to tip herself out by arching her back. She's getting strong!
