Rachel's 1 year pics are up! 3 outfit changes was a lot for her, but she did pretty good! I was happy with what we got! She wasn't very interested in the cake pics being taken. Maybe she will do better at her party. But we love the Birthday dress and KU Princess tutu!!!
I can't believe Rachel is turning 1 today! The time has flown, but has definitely been one of the best years of my life! Her princess party will be tomorrow and her 1 year pics are today! Stay tuned for more pics in the next couple days! For now, her party invitation below!
We found out yesterday that Rachel will not be a big sister as soon as we thought. God must have a different plan for our lives. Please pray as Momma handles this difficult time. :(
Yet, another post basically for Momma to be able to remember what has happened so I can write it in Rachel's book. The past couple weeks things have seemed to "click" for Rachel. Standing up from the middle of the floor is very common and always tries to walk when she stands. Pointing is something fun, and she is really associating waving with hi and bye. Climbing on and off the couch has been neat too. She can now get down without to a faceplant! She is also starting to say a few words... "dun" (all done) "dink" (drink) "da" (dog) and her all time favorite "NO." When Daddy and I came home from our trip last month she was saying this as her favorite word. We have worked hard to break this habit by saying "yes" to her when she says it, but it hasn't been 100% successful. She especially likes to tell her cousins "No" when they are doing something she doesn't think they should be doing or if they are doing something she doesn't want them to do. Not that this is a good thing, but at least she is using the word in the right context...right? :)
Won't be much longer and this little lady will be 1. Ican't believe all things she is doing. Love, love, love it!
