We had her trying sit up today. She did okay for how "unsteady" she still is. She leans forward, but I think she is getting the idea!

Happy Friday!

On Friday night we had a family get-together at our house. I tried a new recipe I got off a friend's blog. We had dinner, watched the babies play and the of course played Settlers of Catan!

Visit to Great Granny's

Monday night while Daddy was playing basketball at the church building Rachel and I went to visit Great Granny. We had a wonderful time!

Daddy Dresses Baby

Tuesday Daddy and Rachel came to eat lunch with me. When they arrived I got in and uncovered her to see what she was wearing. Everything looked fine until I got down to her feet. She was wearing one of her KU shirts, jeans, and PINK socks! I figured this was worthy of the blog! haha!

Lunch at Great Unlce David and Aunt Debi's

Sunday we had lunch at Great Uncle David and Aunt Debi's house. We ate and then watched TV for a while before going home. Well most of us watched TV, GGpa decided to take a nap during the TV watching!

Still A thumb Sucker?

She sure is! She still definitely prefers her thumb to a paci. What a cutie! :)

Rachel Plays Settlers

Daddy got the Settlers of Catan game for Christmas. We play all the time, but Rachel got to "play" for the first time the other night! :)

3 Months!

Our pretty princess was 3 months old on Friday. We had her pictures take then. I paid a little extra to have all the shots emailed to me so I could post them on the blog. Some of them were just too cute to pass up. I can’t believe she is already 3 months old! Time is flying!

Happy Valentine's Day (A Little Late)

Rachel had a wonderful Valentine's Day. She got a bear from Gma and Gpa Skiles, and lots of love from everyone, while wearing her "love for daddy" shirt! (The shirt has Daddy in the center of a heart with an arrow through it.) It was a fun day.

Rolling Over

Rachel rolled from her tummy to her back for the first time!! We have been putting her on her stomach for "tummy time" to strengthen her neck muscles (b/c of her big head). On Tuesday afternoon she got sick of the exercises and just rolled over. She did it 3 times! But of course when we get the video camera she won't do it! Hopefully we will get a video to post soon.

KU Fan?

Do you suppose Rachel is a KU fan?! Yet another thing she gets from her dad!

Is Macy Jealous?

Whenever we are playing with Rachel on the floor, Macy thinks she has to be involved too. She still thinks she is the center of attention. She does everything Rachel does. The photos prove my point...

Thumb Sucker

So, Rachel truly is a thumb sucker. She will not take the pacifier anymore. If she is tired, she finds her thumb. When I lay her in bed I make sure her arms are up by her face, turn the monitor on, tell her goodnight and leave the room. A few minutes later we hear the "sucking" sound and shortly after that we don't hear her again until morning. Her thumb has become her "comfort" as she goes to sleep. Her Daddy was a thumb sucker, so maybe it's genetic! :)

First Walk

Monday it was semi-warm enough to take a walk through the neighborhood. We walked over to Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Cole's then headed back home. Fun, fun! :)
