Brennan and Rachel
Aunt Jennifer tells me that Brennan and Rachel really "enjoy" each other. He likes to get up in front of her, she then moves so he thinks she is "playing" with him. He is very interested in her, and so cute too! :)

Doesn't Look Like Momma...
The more pictures I take of this girl, the more I realize she doesn’t look like her momma at all! She is definitely her daddy’s girl!

Bumbo
Wednesday night we put Rachel in her Bumbo seat for the first time. She did great for a while, but as you see in the pictures she was ready to be picked up!

Day at Great-Granny and Great Gpa Roy's
On Wednesday Cousin Brennan was sick, so Rachel got to go spend the day at Great-Granny and Great Gpa Roy's house. They said she was a good little girl! They had a "fun time" as you can see in the pics below! She couldn't stop smiling at Great Gpa! :)

Smiles
Rachel has really been smiling the last couple weeks. It melts my heart to have her look up and grin at me!

2 Month Check-up
Rachel went to visit Dr. Jeff for her 2 month check-up on Friday. She weighed 11lbs 8oz and was 22 1/4 inches long. 55th percentile for her weight and 70th for her height...but the BIG new is her HEAD! Her head measured in the 100th percentile! Maybe someday her body will catch up! :)
She also got her shots when she was there. She cried some, as expected, but overall it went very well. They haven't bothered her a whole lot, but a little. We give her Tylenol as needed. And she seems to like the grape flavor! :)
Everything went well, so hopefully we won't have to visit Dr. Jeff again before her 4 month check-up!

Rachel's New Coat
I bought Rachel this coat from Crazy8.com (a kid's store similar to Gymboree) I thought it was too cute not to post. :)

2 Months Old
It's hard to believe our little princess is 2 months old. Time really does fly. We had her pictures take at JC Penny's so they will be in a week from now. She also has a doctor's appointment Friday. I will then have updates on size, weight, etc. Below is a pic that I took at home. She is just started smiling at us!

Rachel or Kinley???
This picture was taken a little over a year ago. It is Brett feeding Kinley. Does anyone else thinks the baby looks like Rachel? I do. Even though these girls look like their Daddies, they must look something like their mommas because they look alike!

Sad Day For Momma
Today was a very sad day for Momma...she had to go back to work. Before Rachel was born, the plan was that Momma was only going to go back to work part-time. Now the plan has been changed. Daddy was given a layoff notice about 2 weeks after she was born which made Momma have to go back full time until we get something else figured out. Although I am sad to have to leave my baby girl all day, I am comforted to know she is in good hands. Aunt Jennifer is going to be keeping Rachel for us. It is a relief to know someone is taking care of her and not just "watching" her. I very thankful for Aunt Jennifer.
I am sure as time goes on it will get much easier, but last night and today were very, very sad. It makes me sad to think in the morning, I am going to go through the same thing again. I guess I just never imagined my plan would change, and it's hard. Please pray it gets easier for me, and that Brett can find something equal in pay (or better) for me to be able to stay home at least part of the time.

GGma's Birthday
GGma's birthday is on Christmas day, so we celebrated a little late. We had her party on Sunday night. We all had a great time!
