Let's just say that we are having a hard time deciding on a name for our little girl. We thought we had narrowed it down to 2 names, but...WRONG. As we told people what the names we liked, we didn't get negative feedback, but not super feedback either. People also thought the name that Daddy liked best would get mispronounced with the way we wanted to spell it. So..all in all we have decided to not use the 2 names we thought that we were planning on picking between. And to think; we thought we were so close! We have been doing lots of searching for a name. I even bought a book called 50,001+ Baby Names. We will see where the book takes us! :) I never imagined naming my baby, would be such a chore! There is another name we really do like, but we are keeping it a secret for now! We will see if it changes before she arrives! :)

Week 18
How your baby's growing:Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and she weighs almost 7 ounces. She's busy flexing her arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. Her blood vessels are visible through her thin skin, and her ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from her head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around her nerves, a process that will continue for a year after she's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. Posted by Kayla at 9:32 AM 0 comments

And Daddy Feels Baby!!
Last night we went to Uncle Joshua's baseball game. (Which they won, Go Cobras!!) After the game went to Gma/Gpa Oakley's for sloppy joes and macaroni and cheese! As we were waiting to eat, I was relaxing on the couch. (I was kinda uncomfortable yesterday!) As I laid there, I felt Baby start to move around. I quickly called for Daddy to come right away! He came and after about 3 minutes of pushing around on my belly, he/she finally pushed back! Daddy was very excited, and once again, I was more thrilled to see Daddy's reaction more than anything! Like I always say, the experiences just keep getting better. I can only imagine what it will be like when he/she gets here! :)

Flutters, Flutters, and More Flutters!!!
Baby hasn't been playing as much kung fu yesterday and today, but he/she is definitely moving around in there! I feel flutters fairly often, while sitting at my desk! The experiences just keep getting better! :)

Yesterday when Daddy was taking "belly pictures" of me, Aunt Krista was at the house. We took a picture together! She and Kate are growing too! :)

Momma Has Grown!!!
After seeing the pictures below, it is rather obvious that Baby is growing and so is Momma!! I think it is my belly this time though. (Not so much my butt!) Or at least everything seems to be in proportion! :) It is very neat for me to see myself get bigger as this little being grows inside of me!! See the pics below! The first was when I was 10 weeks and the second was yesterday at 16 weeks.

Kung Fu
So the baby is playing Kung Fu today. When we went to the sonogram on Friday we saw him/her moving her arms all around, but Momma is feeling it today! I actually just felt him/her as I am typing this. The first time (ever) that I felt him/her was last Friday. Since then I hadn't really felt much movement, but I sure feel it today!!! It is truly a neat experience!!! :) So much fun!!!

Week 16
How your baby's growing:Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.Posted by Kayla at 10:43 AM 0 comments

And We Are Blessed With...
A healthy baby! We weren't able to for sure find out the gender of the little one, but it was still very neat to see how much bigger "it" was since the last sonogram!!! So much has changed. It actually looks like a baby, not just a blob!!! We got to see all the organs, arms, hands, feet, fingers, and toes!!! There was so much to see!!We even watched the heart beat in the little chest!! Posted below are some of the pics we were able to bring home this time!! We will hopefully have different ones in a few weeks! Enjoy, we did!

Sonogram Date Moved Up!
I had a message from the doctor's office that the sonogram that was supposed to be scheduled for next months appointment has been moved up! It is going to be this coming Friday, June 6th! Although, I know we may not be able to determine the gender for sure yet, I am still excited at the possibility of finding out this soon! Maybe we will get lucky! Everyone keep your fingers crossed!! :)

15 Weeks
How your baby's growing:Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or a girl! (Don't be too disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down your baby's sex depends on the clarity of the picture and on your baby's position. He or she may be modestly curled up or turned in such a way as to "hide the goods.")Posted by Kayla at 9:45 AM 0 comments
Another Doctor's Appointment
We had another monthly doctors appointment yesterday. Daddy and I were both glad to know everything is going great. Dr. Cox said I was right on schedule for my growing size. My belly is growing, but still no weight gain. ( I actually lost a pound.) We also got to hear the heartbeat again! It was neat to hear, but was even more neat to see Daddy's eyes "light up" as the doppler finally found the heartbeat! (Baby was playing hide and seek yesterday. It took a while to find the heartbeat.) I love to see him be so excited!! :)
At my next appointment, scheduled for July 7th, we plan to have the sonogram to see if we are having a boy or a girl. Earlier on, the doctor said the sonogram would be between 16 and 18 weeks. When she noticed how close my next appointment would be to 18 weeks, she tried to schedule them at the same time. I was hoping to have the sonogram closer to 16 weeks, but I guess the longer we wait, the better the chances are of for sure knowing the gender! we can't wait.

All Moved Out!
Daddy and I finally got to move out the house we have lived in for the past 2 years. We closed on our first home the day before we got married...it is amazing how much junk we have!! You don't realize how much there is, until you try to move it all to a storage unit!!! Thanks to Gma/Gpa Skiles, Gma/Gpa Oakley, Uncle Cole and Aunt Jennifer (and of course Brennan!!), Uncle Justin and Aunt Krista, Aunt Michelle, Uncle Joshua, and the entire Harrold family, we were able to move! It only took us a period of 5 days!!! With everyone's help over the 5 days we finally got everything out of the house. Thank you everyone!!
As far as plans for the new place...we put a contract on a lot in Goddard to begin the building process!! How fun!! We are really looking forward to it. We will be very close to Uncle Cole, Aunt Jennifer, and Brennan! there is also another couple from church that lives in the area. Not to mention we will only be a few miles from Gma/Gpa Oakley!!! We are looking forward to the coming events, although they will take lots of time. The plan for the house is to be built by November 30th. As many of you know "Baby" is due November 27th, so we are working with the builder to get it moved up as much as possible. they said there was no guarantees, we would just have to see how it goes! Maybe they will get the house done a few weeks early...we'll see.
In the meantime we are staying with GGma and GGpa. It seems to be working out so far Our 3 little dogs, they love the fenced in back yard! We hope everything flows smoothly as we hibernate there for the 6 months. It seems to be great so far!I also get to spend more time talking with GGma!!! :)
Well, I guess I will close. Just wanted to let you all know of the hectic weekend! i hope everyone had a good weekend, and has a wonderful upcoming week!! :)
